Great teamwork all round at today’s event. Congrats to all who took part. (especially those hauling themselves up the rope on the Adrenaline Trail!)
Thanks for an amazing morning
That was awesome. Our team will be doing it again next time!
The Zorb Ball and Adrenaline Trail were big hits today. Thanks to all our great volunteers.
About Adrenaline Trail
Adrenaline Trail was an exciting new addition to our annual Father’s Day Run/Walk/Skate/Bike on Sunday, June 21, 2015. Activities were fun and challenging and participants had an exceptional experience…all are looking forward to the next opportunity. As a trial run held in conjunction with Run/Walk/Skate/Bike it was a big success. Having the next one as a stand-alone event in the fall of 2016 is being considered.
Adrenaline Trail engages teams of four racing for their best time as they rotate through a series of creative and challenging obstacles. The first year events included a wheel barrow run on the beach, tire flip, log roll, agility run, rope climb, ball throw, culvert clamber, cardio loop, bale climb, and zorb ball. The course is tough, but anyone with determination and a basic level of fitness is able to successfully complete it. In the spirit of the Boys’ Home, all who take part will be proud of their accomplishment.
Under the direction of Kathy Ure this new event was held concurrently with the existing activities of Run/Walk/Skate/Bike. As part of a well-established fundraising day for Huron House Boys’ Home, participating teams paid just $100 to register. With encouragement and suggestions from staff at Huron House, it was easy for teams to raise an additional $400 for the Boys’ Home. Prizes were provided for time, fundraising and enthusiasm. There were also draw prizes.
Team Spirit Challenge
Congratulation to Team RPM for winning the Team Spirit Challenge.
