Why should I choose Adrenaline Trail?
Adrenaline Trail is a unique experience.  Together with your three teammates you’ll test your body in a variety of physical challenges, work together to solve problems, build team spirit and strengthen bonds.  The quality of the event will be exceptional.  And then there’s the part where you make a big difference in the life of a boy who is overcoming the challenges to success in his life.  Do Adrenaline Trail and you’ll be rewarded with satisfaction about your body, your team and your community.  You’ll be glad you did.

Who should participate in Adrenaline Trail?
Any adult (18 yrs) who’s active and interested in a different kind of competition.  Adrenaline Trail is designed to challenge even the fittest of athletes, but anyone with a basic level of fitness can participate successfully.  Less fit people will take longer, but with persistence they’ll complete the course.

How much does it cost to participate?
$100 per team of four.  Once the team (with first member) is registered additional team members join at no cost.

What is the additional fundraising?
Each team is asked to raise an additional $400 per team; so register early to benefit from full support and fundraising ideas from Huron House Boys’ Home.  We believe you will find the course more challenging than the fundraising!

Why do we have to raise money?
Adrenaline Trail is a unique part of the Run/Walk/Skate/Bike fundraising event.  Funds raised benefit the youth of Huron House Boys’ Home.  The registration fee covers only basic costs for running the event.  Our experiences tell us the fundraising is easier than you think.  We’re SURE you’ll be glad you made Adrenaline Trail your choice for fun, fitness, fundraising.

Is there a tax receipt for money raised?
Yes, when the name and address of the person donating money is provided, a tax receipt will be issued.

How are funds used?
Funds that are raised provide progamming, support and materials for youth at Huron House Boys’ Home.  Your donations will make a big difference in the lives of youth who need our help overcoming obstacles on the path to their success.

When does the money have to be submitted?
The registration fee is paid when the first team member registers the team.  The remaining funds are submitted on or before event day.

Where is the money submitted?
There are several options:  at Huron House Boys’ Home during business hours; at the Run/Walk/Skate/Bike registration outside Sport Check in the Lambton Mall on Friday June 19 and Saturday June 20, or prior to your start time on event day – make sure you leave lots of time if you choose that option!

What can I expect on event day?
Expect an excellent experience, great satisfaction, a unique Adrenaline Trail t-shirt, a pancake and sausage breakfast (8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.), snacks, an all-natural electrolyte replenishing beverage at the finish line, massage therapist and chiropractor services, lots of fun, an atmosphere of support and enthusiasm…really, you’ve got to try it to know.

What kinds of activities will there be?
Without disclosing too many details just yet, there will be activities involving climbing, teamwork, thinking, speed, strength, and of course the Huron House zorb ball…oh, so cool!

Why are there only 20 teams?
We want it to be a special experience for a limited number this year.  In the future it could accommodate more people.

Do I need to train for Adrenaline Trail?
It would be a good idea.  Make it a goal and feel good about your accomplishment.

Can I do it on my own?
No, this is not recommended.  You will appreciate the support of teammates to enjoy the full experience, and accomplish all the activities.

What happens if a team member can’t make it on event day?
Do the best you can with those who are there.  Consider it another obstacle to overcome.

Will there be prizes?
There will be prizes for the fastest team, the team which raises the most money, and the most enthusiastic team.

Who measures team enthusiasm?
Our ‘team spirit monitor’ volunteers will be onsite watching and making notes.

What happens if a team member can’t complete a station?
Team members will help each other, but each station has an ‘out option’ if someone can’t physically do it.  Taking the out option eliminates the team from the speed competition.

How is the event timed?
One team member will have a timing chip.  That person will cross the start and finish line with team members to get their time.

Will I get a photograph of the experience?
Photographers will be on site and photos will be posted after the event.  You can get copies at no charge.

Where does it take place?
All activities are in Mike Weir Park.  It’s a large area which includes beach, bush and open fields.

What time does it start?
Each team will be assigned a start time between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.  Details will be  provided prior to the event.

How long is the course?
The course is not a measured distance.  It winds through Mike Weir park and is probably less than two kilometres in length.

How long will it take to complete the challenge?
Between one and two hours.
