Men Who Cook Archive


The 34th annual Men Who Cook was held Saturday March 7, 2020 at the Dante Club. Our theme was celebrating 50 years of Huron House Boys’ Home.

The evening started with a hospitality hour featuring six of our cooks, as well as sampling courtesy of Refined Fool Brewing Co. and Alton Farms Estate Winery. Dinner featured 18 more cooks who served their amazing culinary creations while the Brennan Williams Quartet kept the attendees entertained.

Over 150 guests sampled the amazing dishes from local professional and amateur cooks and voted for their favourites. The cooks who took home top honours and bragging rights were:

  1. Gabriel Ponce from Clearwater Family Dental with Crème Brûlée
  2. Jason Harris from BDO with Marty’s Famous Dutch Apple Pancakes with Spiced Apples
  3. Dylan Boudreau from Fairwinds Lodge with Cream of Truffled Cauliflower soup
